Jaken Co., Inc. is one of the largest (and oldest) manufacturers/distributors of shelving and rack in the U.S.
We own and operate a 500,000 square foot factory located outside Shanghai, China. Jaken’s 65,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters is located in Irvine, CA (in Orange County). In addition to the facility in Southern California, Jaken operates two distribution centers in Aurora, IL.
Jaken began making shelving in 1988 for the material handling industry. In 1991 we began selling retail packaged shelving to major retailers like Price Club and Home Depot. In 1998, Jaken sold its retail packaged shelving business to Do+Able products and entered into an exclusive supplier agreement.
For five years Jaken and Do+Able worked closely to develop a full line of retail packaged shelving for retailers
like Home Depot, Sears, Staples, Costco Mexico, Dixieline and others. In 2003, Closetmaid purchased Do+Able and decided to discontinue the marketing of Jaken’s retail packaged shelving.
From 2003 thru 2013 Jaken has focused its efforts on the material handling dealer business and now offers a complete line of shelving, rack, carts and bins in the industry.
Recognizing an opportunity to get back into the retail packaged shelving business, Jaken hired industry
veteran Jim Ortale as Director of Sales. Jim joined Jaken in July 2013.

To accomplish this mission, we’ve packaged the same industrial quality components we offer to our commercial customers in an attractive color coordinated retail cartons. The units offered by Storage Concepts are designed to provide consumers with a wide variety of shelf sizes and capacities to fit their specific needs. Our products are only offered thru retailers who share our commitment to offering high quality products at affordable prices.
